Who are we
El Churra is a company from Murcia that was started in 1955 with the building of an outdoor bar in the Huerta de Murcia, a very fertile region in the region of Murcia, that specialized in simple but traditional cuisine.
In 1967, the bar moved from its original location to the area of Vistalegre that was nearby, and it is there where El Churra Hotel stands nowadays. As years went by the original outdoor bar became a full blown restaurant and encouraged by this success and the increase in the demand for hotel rooms in the area, the El Churra Guesthouse was inaugurated in 1973.
At the beginning of the 80s the company completely refurbished and redecorated El Churra Restaurant, adding several independent dining rooms. In 1981, El Churra Guesthouse became the company’s first three star hotel, El Churra.
The Churra Vistalegre Hotel was inaugurated in 1990 not very far from El Churra and close to the Morales Meseguer University Hospital. This hotel has already undergone two refurbishments.
In 2002 the restaurant moved to premises just opposite El Churra Hotel, with improved facilities and still serving traditional cuisine but adding some modern touches.
Throughout its life, the company El Churra has faced up to the challenge of competitiveness and quality. The philosophy is very simple: blending together family and business. It is thanks to this balance that the company has managed to stay always ahead on the innovation process.
